In honor of the great Latin bassist Andy Gonzalez who passed last year (QDEP). An incredible Nuyorican album that toes the line between Latin Jazz and progressive rumba freakouts. Probably my favorite non-Thelonious take of “Evidence” tremendous playing throughout with the Gonzalez brothers Andy & Jerry as well as some other heavyweight players Hilton Ruiz, Nicky Marrero, Don Alias, Frankie Rodriguez, etc.
